Formatt Hitech Firecrest Elia Locardi 100mm Kit +holder
Formatt Hitech Firecrest Elia Locardi 100mm Kit +holder | A holder-based approach to filter protection
Trying to add filter-based protection without juggling a loose filter can make a simple setup feel fiddly. The Formatt Hitech Firecrest Elia Locardi 100mm Kit +holder is a 100mm filter kit that includes a holder, giving you a defined place to position a filter in front of your lens. It’s listed in the protection-filter category, so it’s relevant if you want to use a filter as a barrier against everyday dust or handling near the front element. The holder is useful when you want the filter supported rather than held in place by hand, especially while composing a landscape or working carefully around a dusty location. The product name gives the format and confirms a holder is part of the offering; it doesn’t spell out a filter count or types, so I wouldn’t assume a particular filter is included. This is best suited to photographers who already know they want a 100mm filter approach and want a holder-based way to work with it.
Specialist Note
“Is the holder included with this 100mm kit?” Yes—the product title names both the 100mm kit and a holder. That matters in practice: the holder gives you a way to position a filter for a considered landscape composition, rather than trying to keep it steady by hand. I’d look at this for scenes where you’re working close to dust or want a protective filter between the lens front and everyday contact; fit the filter in the holder before composing. It’s aimed at photographers who have chosen the 100mm format. One point to keep clear: the holder positions a filter; the filter itself provides the protective layer.
