Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p Circular Polarizer Filter - White
Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p Circular Polarizer Filter - White | Reduce reflected glare
Reducing reflections from water, glass and glossy surfaces can make footage look clearer and keep colours from seeming washed out. The Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p Circular Polarizer Filter - White is a circular polarizer for use with the Osmo Pocket 4p. It’s suited to Pocket owners who film reflective scenes and want more control over how those reflections appear in the image. A polarizer can also deepen the look of a blue sky when the camera is pointed at the right angle to the light. For the most visible effect, frame the reflective surface and adjust your shooting angle; the result changes with your position relative to the light. This filter is most useful when reflections are part of the problem, rather than as a general image-brightening accessory. It gives you a way to manage glare in the scene, while the final effect depends on the light and camera angle.
Specialist Note
Reflections across a pond or shop window can distract from the subject, and that’s the problem this filter is meant to help with. The 4p in its name makes its intended camera system clear: it’s for Osmo Pocket 4p owners, rather than a general filter to choose by appearance alone. For water or glass, adjust your viewing angle until the reflected sheen moves, then judge how much of the scene you want to retain. The white finish is a visual choice; it doesn’t change the polarizing effect, so pick it for the look you prefer on your setup. I’d reach for it when reflections are central to the shot, not when the scene has little glare to control.
