H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit 82mm
H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit 82mm | Control light and reflections
The H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit 82mm brings an ND3-1000 range and circular polarisation to an 82mm filter format. It’s aimed at landscape, architecture and water photographers who want more control over bright light and reflections while making an exposure. ND filtration reduces the light reaching the camera, giving you room to use a longer shutter time in daylight. The CPL function helps cut reflected glare and can deepen a blue sky when the shooting angle is right. That combination is useful around water, glass and sunlit streets, where reflections can hide detail or distract from a subject. The 82mm size suits photographers working with that filter size. It’s a way to shape exposure and reflections at capture, but the final shutter speed and polarising effect will depend on the scene and the light.
Specialist Note
At a canal in the late afternoon, bright patches of sky shimmer across the water. This is where the ND3-1000 range earns its place: use the stronger ND1000 end to reduce incoming light and allow a longer exposure, or the ND3 end when you need a lighter reduction. The CPL function helps manage reflections on the water, so you can bring more of its surface into view. I’d suggest this kit to someone who often photographs reflective scenes and wants to shape both exposure and glare with an 82mm filter setup. One honest point: the ND number alone won’t tell you the shutter speed you’ll get; that still depends on the available light and your exposure settings.
