Hama Aux-Cable 3.5-mm Jack U 3.5-mm Jack 90 Haakse Plug 0.5 M Black

Hama Aux-Cable 3.5-mm Jack U 3.5-mm Jack 90 Haakse Plug 0.5 M Black | A short link with an angled plug

When two pieces of audio equipment sit close together, a long lead can leave spare cable to tuck away. This Hama aux cable is a short option for connecting equipment with matching sockets. It has a 3.5-mm jack at each end, and one plug is angled at 90 degrees. The cable is 0.5 m long and black. That makes it a straightforward fit for a nearby connection where you’d rather not have a loop of excess cable hanging between devices. The angled end can also be handy when a straight plug would project awkwardly from a socket. There’s no complicated setup to explain: it’s a simple jack-to-jack cable, best suited to a close arrangement rather than equipment placed far apart. If your devices are within reach of half a metre and have the matching connection, it keeps the link short and direct.

A practical fit for close connections

The main thing to consider is the distance between the sockets. With just half a metre of cable, this is meant for devices positioned near one another, not for routing across a room or around furniture. The right-angle plug gives the cable a different departure direction from the socket; depending on how your equipment is arranged, that can make the connection easier to place neatly. The other end is a straight plug. Keep the intended route in mind before connecting, especially if the sockets face different directions. In a compact setup, a short lead can help avoid managing extra length. It’s a simple accessory, and its usefulness comes down to having the right distance and matching sockets for the job.
