Hama Bluetooth-Headphone Spirit Open Ows Open Ears True Wireless App Black

Hama Bluetooth-Headphone Spirit Open Ows Open Ears True Wireless App Black | Listen without covering your ears

The defining choice here is the open-ear design: these Hama Spirit Open OWS headphones are made to sit without sealing off your ears. That gives listening a different feel from in-ear headphones, and suits people who prefer to remain aware of the sounds around them while audio is playing. They’re true wireless, with Bluetooth in the name, so the product is intended for wireless listening rather than a cable joining the earpieces. An app is also part of the product name, though its specific functions aren’t described here. The black finish keeps the look understated. If you’re shopping for headphones that close off outside sound, this is a different kind of design; the open-ear format is the point, not an incidental detail. It’s a straightforward option to consider when that distinction matters more than an enclosed fit.

What the open-ear design means

With an open-ear style, you can listen without the enclosed sensation associated with headphones that sit in or over the ears. It can be a sensible format for everyday listening when you’d rather not shut out your surroundings. The trade-off is just as important: open-ear headphones aren’t intended to create the isolated listening experience of a closed fit. Think about where you’ll use them and what you want from your listening before choosing. The name also points to two other basics: Bluetooth for wireless audio and true-wireless construction, with no cable running between the earpieces. Hama includes “App” in the product name, but without details about the app, it’s best not to assume what it can do.
