Hama Lens Hood ST For Standard Lenses Collapsible 62 mm
Hama Lens Hood ST For Standard Lenses Collapsible 62 mm | Helps manage stray light and folds away
The Hama ST’s collapsible design gives you a hood that can fold down when you’re packing your camera, rather than taking up its full working shape in your bag. It’s for photographers using standard lenses who want a straightforward way to reduce stray light reaching the front of the lens. In bright outdoor conditions, a hood can help limit flare and preserve contrast when light comes from the side. It can also be useful around windows, where light may spill across the lens at an awkward angle. Extend it when you’re shooting, then fold it down for storage. This is a practical, uncomplicated accessory: it helps manage light, but it can’t prevent flare when a bright source shines directly into the lens.
Specialist Note
62 mm gives you a clear sizing reference: match that figure to the standard lens you intend to use it with. I’d suggest this hood to someone who wants a simple way to control stray light without carrying a rigid hood at full length all the time. For outdoor portraits, extend it when the sun is off to one side; for window-lit scenes, use it to help keep angled light from washing across the image. Then collapse it when you’re packing away. It’s a modest, practical aid, not a cure for flare from a light source pointed straight into the lens.
