Hama Network Cable CAT-5E 1 GBIT/s F/UTP Afgeschermd 15.00 M

Hama CAT-5E 1 Gbit/s F/UTP Shielded Network Cable 15.00 m | Connect network equipment across the room

When a router or other network connection is on the far side of a room, a short lead can leave you with an awkward setup. This 15-metre Hama network cable gives you more reach for connecting network equipment, without needing to place everything together. It’s a CAT-5E cable rated for 1 Gbit/s, with F/UTP shielding. The cable is grey, so it’s easy to spot against darker floors or furniture, though it may be more visible on a pale wall. That’s the honest trade-off with a long cable run: the extra reach helps with placement, but you’ll want to think about where the cable will sit. For a home or work setup where the connection point and the equipment are separated, the generous length is the main reason to choose this version.

Planning a longer cable run

At 15 metres, this cable can bridge a gap that a typical short lead won’t cover, such as between network equipment and a connection point in another part of a room. It’s a straightforward option when you want a physical network connection and have a route in mind for the cable. Measure the path you plan to use rather than just the straight-line distance; going around furniture or along a wall can use up more length than expected. Its CAT-5E rating and 1 Gbit/s speed make the key details easy to assess when choosing a network cable. The F/UTP shielding is another defining detail, alongside its grey finish. If you’re comparing cable lengths for a particular setup, the 15.00 m length is the useful starting point.
