Hama Network Cable CAT-5E F/UTP Afgeschermd 10.00 M

Hama CAT-5E F/UTP Shielded Network Cable 10.00 m | A wired link with room to route

Connect network equipment across a room or along a planned route with a wired link. The Hama CAT-5E F/UTP Shielded Network Cable is 10 metres long, giving you cable to work with when the two connection points aren’t close together. It’s suited to a home or work setup where a direct network cable is more practical than placing equipment side by side. The F/UTP designation identifies its shielded cable construction, while CAT-5E is the cable category stated in its name. That makes this a straightforward option for a network run where those details match what you need. Measure the route rather than the straight-line distance between devices; corners and the path around furniture can use up extra length. The cable is grey, a low-key colour for runs along a wall or beside other equipment. One simple point: a 10-metre cable gives you reach, but it’s still worth planning where the extra length will go.

Plan the cable route

Before connecting anything, decide where the cable will travel and where you want each end to reach. For a run across a room, follow the actual path around furniture and along the edges rather than estimating from the distance between the devices. That makes it easier to judge whether 10 metres will suit the layout and to keep the run tidy. If the route changes direction, account for those turns too. The grey finish is understated, though how visible it is will depend on the surface and surroundings. A little planning makes a cable run easier to live with, especially when equipment needs to stay where it is and the network connection has to reach it.
