Hama Network Cable CAT-6A 10 GBIT/s U/UTP Plat 5.00 M

Hama Network Cable CAT-6A 10 GBIT/s U/UTP Plat 5.00 M | A 5-metre cable for a wired network connection

Without a cable, a network connection has to be made wirelessly; this Hama cable gives you a physical link instead. It’s a CAT-6A network cable with a stated speed rating of 10 Gbit/s, for someone building or arranging a wired network connection and looking for a specific five-metre length. Its flat form is a practical detail to consider when planning where the cable will run: it has a different profile from a round cable. The U/UTP designation is part of its specification, and the white colour may matter when you’re choosing a cable that will be visible in your space. This is a straightforward option when those details match the job. The key decision is the route between the two connection points: measure that path before choosing a cable length, and allow for how you’ll run it rather than measuring only the straight-line distance.

Choosing the length

Five metres gives you a defined length to plan around. Think through where the cable needs to start and finish, and include any turns or detours along its route. If the path fits within that length, the cable keeps the connection wired rather than relying on a wireless link. Its flat shape and white colour are also worth considering for a route where the cable will be visible. Those are practical details, not a reason to assume it suits every setup; the intended connection points and the route between them should guide your choice.
