Hawke Flip-Up Cover Metal Objective 36m
Hawke Flip-Up Cover Metal Objective 36m | Metal cover for an objective lens
Hawke Flip-Up Cover Metal Objective 36m is a metal, flip-up objective cover, with “36m” as the size designation in its name. It’s intended for people who want to cover an optic’s objective between viewing sessions, including photographers and field observers working around wildlife. The flip-up format lets you move the cover aside when you’re ready to look, then close it over the objective when you stop. That means there’s no separate cap to hold while you’re using the optic. Its metal construction gives the cover a solid, durable feel, while the objective-only design keeps its purpose clear: it covers the front of the optic, rather than a camera body or the whole lens. If you’re choosing a replacement or an additional cover, the 36m designation is the key detail to match to the objective you need to cover.
Specialist Note
Wildlife photographers and field observers who move between watching and shooting will appreciate the simple flip-up action here. You can open the cover when it’s time to view, then fold it back over the objective during a pause or while carrying the optic. The metal construction is a reassuring choice for a cover that gets opened and closed as part of regular use; it feels more substantial than a flimsy loose cap. Pay close attention to the “36m” designation when choosing it, so the cover is the right match for your objective. It’s a focused accessory: it covers the objective, not other parts of your camera or optic.
