Kaiser Rear Cap Pentax
Kaiser Rear Cap Pentax | Keeps the rear of your lens covered
The defining choice is a rear cap made for Pentax lenses: it covers the back of a lens once it’s off the camera. That makes it handy for photographers who change lenses, carry a spare, or put a lens away between sessions. With the rear covered, the exposed end is less open to dust and accidental contact while the lens is stored or carried. It’s a simple piece of kit, but it has a clear job: keep the rear of a Pentax lens covered when you’re not using it. Keep one on each lens you store separately, and replace it as soon as you take a lens off the camera. The Kaiser Rear Cap Pentax is best suited to everyday lens storage and changes, rather than adding features or controls to your setup.
Specialist Note
Photographers who swap Pentax lenses during a session will appreciate having the right rear cap close at hand. This Kaiser cap is made for the Pentax system named in its product title, so it’s the one to use on a lens from that system when you take it off the camera. Its black colour keeps the look discreet in a camera bag, rather than adding a bright accessory among your kit. I’d make a habit of putting it straight back on before the lens goes into storage; that keeps the rear covered between uses. One limitation is simply its role: it’s a rear cap, not a cover for the front of the lens.
