Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 112mm
Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 112mm | UV filtration in a matching filter size
Without a UV filter, there’s no separate filter layer in front of the lens. The Kase Revolution Plus Mega Kit 112mm is listed as a UV filter, for photographers who want this type of filter in a large-format size. Its role is specific: UV filtration, rather than changing exposure like a neutral-density filter or managing reflections like a polariser. For everyday outdoor photography, landscapes or travel, it’s an option to consider when you want a UV filter on a lens with a matching filter thread. The size is the key practical detail, so compare it with the thread size of the lens you plan to use it on. The word “Mega Kit” is part of the product name, but doesn’t tell you which components are included; choose this product for its stated UV-filter type and size, rather than assuming what else comes with it.
Specialist Note
“Will this Kase kit fit my lens?” It will match a lens with the filter-thread size shown in the title; that’s the first thing I’d establish at the counter. The UV-filter category tells you its intended role, so it makes sense for someone who specifically wants UV filtration rather than an exposure-control or reflection-control filter. It may suit landscape or travel photography, provided the lens thread matches. One honest point: “Mega Kit” doesn’t explain the kit’s contents, so I wouldn’t choose it on the assumption that it includes particular extras. If your lens has a different filter-thread size, this isn’t the direct fit.
