Kondor Blue KB-CANON-CAGE Canon R5/R6/R Full Cage w/ Top Handle
Kondor Blue KB-CANON-CAGE Canon R5/R6/R Full Cage w/ Top Handle | A handled cage for Canon R5, R6 and R
Your Canon R5, R6 or R can be used in a full-cage setup with a top handle, giving you a different way to hold the camera during a shoot. The Kondor Blue KB-CANON-CAGE is made for those named Canon cameras, and suits filmmakers who want a cage around the camera rather than a handle on its own. Its most direct benefit is practical: you have the cage and top handle in one product, so the setup is centred on carrying and working with the camera by hand. That can be handy when you’re moving between takes or changing how you hold the camera. The title doesn’t tell us about materials, mounting points or adjustments, so we won’t guess at those details. If you’re building a rig around a Canon R5, R6 or R, this is a focused option: a full cage with a top handle, without a longer list of unverified claims.
A cage-and-handle setup
A full cage is the defining part of this product; the top handle is included in its name, too. Together, those details point to a camera setup intended to be handled as a rig, rather than a bare camera body. The cage also provides a physical structure around the camera, which is relevant if you’re looking for protection as well as a way to carry the setup. How much protection it offers in a particular situation depends on the details of the cage and how it’s used, so we’re keeping that claim measured.
For a specialist shop, the useful distinction is simple: this is a full cage, not just a top handle, and its stated fit is limited to the Canon R5, R6 and R. Choose it when that combination matches the camera you’re rigging and you want the handle as part of the cage setup. It’s a specific piece of camera support gear; there’s no need to dress it up as more than that.
