Kondor Blue KB-PROVMP-BK Pro V-Mount-Battery Plate w/ Swivel Rod Block Black
Kondor Blue KB-PROVMP-BK Pro V-Mount-Battery Plate w/ Swivel Rod Block Black | Flexible positioning for V-mount power
This tripod accessory brings a V-mount battery plate and a swivel rod block together in one part of a rig. It’s for filmmakers and camera operators building a setup that uses V-mount battery power and needs the plate positioned as part of the support arrangement. The swivel element is the detail to consider: it gives you room to orient the plate to suit the way your rig is laid out, rather than treating the mounting position as fixed. That can be helpful when arranging a tripod-based build around the space available for the battery and its support. The black finish keeps the accessory visually understated among other rig components. Its strength is focused: this is a mounting accessory for a V-mount setup, not a general-purpose tripod add-on. If your rig doesn’t use V-mount power, this plate isn’t aimed at that build.
Planning the setup
Think about where the battery plate needs to sit in relation to the rest of your tripod rig before choosing its position. The swivel rod block gives you an orientation option, so plan around the layout you want rather than assuming the plate must face one particular way. This is especially relevant when you’re assembling a rig with limited room around the support points. Keep the intended job clear: it’s there to place V-mount power within the build, while the tripod and the other rig components remain separate parts of the setup.
Specialist Note
A common oversight with V-mount power is focusing on the battery itself and leaving the plate’s position as an afterthought; this model gives you a swivel rod block to plan that placement into the rig. I’d treat it as one V-mount battery mounting point and work out its orientation alongside the tripod support, rather than fitting it wherever there happens to be room. That makes sense for a tripod-based build where the battery needs a considered place within the setup. The black finish is discreet, too. It’s a specific accessory, not a complete power or support solution, so it suits you best when V-mount is already part of your intended rig.
