Kondor Blue KB-SDI3G-16-BK Ultra Thin 3G SDI Video Cable Right Angle BNC 16"

Kondor Blue KB-SDI3G-16-BK Ultra Thin 3G SDI Video Cable Right Angle BNC 16" | Short, angled SDI connection

For a compact video setup where a cable needs to turn away from a device, the Kondor Blue KB-SDI3G-16-BK provides a short SDI connection with a right-angle BNC. It’s an ultra-thin 3G SDI video cable, 16 inches long. The angled connector can help keep the cable route close to a panel rather than extending straight out, which is handy when space around a connection is limited. This is best suited to connecting nearby video equipment that uses BNC for SDI, rather than running a signal across a larger setup. The short length is the main practical detail to consider: it keeps the link compact, but you’ll want to have the equipment close enough for the cable to reach without pulling it taut. For a tight setup, that straightforward, compact route is the point.

Choosing the right cable length

Before placing equipment, consider the path the cable needs to follow, including the turn at the connector. A direct route between close-set devices is where a 16-inch cable makes the most sense. If the equipment has to sit farther apart, this won’t give you much room to route around other items; choose a cable length that suits the layout instead. That’s a practical trade-off, not a flaw: a short link avoids leaving excess cable to manage when the connection points are close together.

The product name also identifies the cable as 3G SDI, so it’s intended for an SDI video connection, not as a general-purpose cable. Match the BNC connection to the equipment’s SDI connection, then judge the fit by the physical route and available space. The right-angle format is especially relevant if a straight cable exit would get in the way. There’s no need to make this cable do more than its specific job: a compact BNC SDI link between nearby pieces of video equipment.
