Kowa Digiscoping Adapter For iPhone 15 Plus

Kowa Digiscoping Adapter For iPhone 15 Plus: Capture Distant Views Through Your Optic

Bring distant detail into phone photos and video with the Kowa Digiscoping Adapter for iPhone 15 Plus, an RP-series adapter made for this specific phone. It couples the iPhone’s camera with a Kowa spotting scope or binocular, so you can record a magnified view through your optic. The adapter’s polycarbonate body holds the phone in a protective housing, while a separate adapter ring connects it to the scope or binocular eyepiece. Once assembled, the phone and adapter fit over the eyepiece for stills or video. That makes it a handy recording setup for birdwatchers capturing a bird across a marsh, or outdoor observers documenting details across an open landscape. The slim adapter keeps the phone-side setup compact, and the mount-and-fit process takes seconds. This is the phone-side part of the system: you’ll also need the appropriate adapter ring and a Kowa optical instrument.

On the adapter

• Made for iPhone 15 Plus: The adapter’s housing is shaped for this phone model, keeping the phone positioned in its own protective case-style mount. It’s a dedicated fit rather than a universal smartphone holder.
• Polycarbonate construction: The sturdy polycarbonate body adds protection around the phone as it’s held in the adapter. That protective housing is useful when you’re setting up outdoors around a spotting scope or binocular.
• Separate adapter ring required: The ring is the link between the phone adapter and your optical instrument, and it’s sold separately. You’ll need the appropriate ring to connect the adapter to a Kowa scope or binocular.
• Fits over the eyepiece: Once the phone and ring are in place, the adapter goes over the optic’s eyepiece. This connects the phone camera to the view through the scope or binocular for digiscoping.
• For photos and video: Use your iPhone camera to record still images or clips through the Kowa optic. It’s a way to capture magnified views with the phone you already carry, rather than relying on the phone camera alone.
