Kowa TP-105FT Protect Filter 105mm
Kowa TP-105FT Protect Filter 105mm | A buffer for the lens front
Fingerprints and everyday dust are frustrating to clean from a lens’s front glass. The Kowa TP-105FT Protect Filter gives that exposed surface a separate layer to clean, helping keep routine contact away from the lens itself. It’s for photographers who want a straightforward protective filter in place while working, especially in settings where people, bags or hands come close to the front of the lens. The key buying detail is the filter size: it’s made for a lens that accepts a matching filter. Once fitted, it can stay on during ordinary shooting, so you don’t have to handle it every time you take the camera out. This is a simple, practical kind of protection, not a promise against knocks or damage. If you prefer to keep a lens cap on whenever you’re not shooting, that remains sensible too.
Specialist Note
Does the Kowa TP-105FT Protect Filter give your lens front a buffer against everyday contact? Yes: its purpose is to put a separate protective surface in front of the lens, so routine marks land there instead. Its 105mm size means you’ll need a lens with a matching filter fitting; it isn’t a universal fit. I’d consider it for outdoor work where dust is about, or around busy family gatherings where fingers can wander near the lens. Keep the lens cap on between shooting, and clean the filter when needed. It’s sensible everyday protection, but I wouldn’t rely on a filter to absorb a hard impact.
