Metabones Contax Yashica - Micro 4/3 Cine Speed Booster Ultra(0.71X)

Metabones Contax Yashica - Micro 4/3 Cine Speed Booster Ultra(0.71X) | A 0.71x bridge for a defined lens pairing

Your Contax Yashica lens setup gets a clearly defined route to a Micro Four Thirds camera, with a 0.71x Cine Speed Booster at the centre of the pairing. The Metabones Contax Yashica - Micro 4/3 Cine Speed Booster Ultra is a converter for photographers and filmmakers who already work with Contax Yashica lenses and want to use them with a Micro Four Thirds system. Its name gives you the key decision points upfront: the lens side, the camera side and the 0.71x designation. That’s useful when you’re matching a particular lens collection to a camera body, rather than shopping for a generic adapter. The Cine label makes this a version to consider if your work includes moving images as well as stills. It’s a specialist fit, and that’s its strength: you can judge it against one defined lens-to-camera pairing instead of guessing from a broad compatibility claim.

A specific lens-to-camera decision

Start with the lens you intend to use, not the converter on its own. This is the kind of purchase where matching the names matters: a converter marked for Contax Yashica and Micro Four Thirds is intended for that specific combination. If that’s your kit, keep the 0.71x figure in view as you decide whether this version suits the look and framing you have in mind.

When comparing converters, read the full product name rather than relying on “Speed Booster” alone. The named lens pairing and the 0.71x designation are useful identifiers, not decoration. An honest point: the title makes this a precise, specialist choice, so it makes most sense as part of a planned lens-and-camera setup. Identify the lens and camera you want to use together, then see whether these named interfaces match. That’s a more practical way to assess this converter than treating it as a general accessory for any camera bag.
