Metabones Minolta MD - Canon EOS R Mount T

Metabones Minolta MD - Canon EOS R Mount T | Adapt Minolta MD lenses to EOS R

Use a Minolta MD lens on a Canon EOS R camera with the Metabones Minolta MD - Canon EOS R Mount T converter. It’s for photographers who already have a Minolta MD lens they want to use with a Canon EOS R body, rather than leave it on the shelf. The name identifies the two mounts and the Mount T designation, so you can see the intended pairing at a glance. If you’re sorting through older lenses or building a setup around a particular focal length, that clear lens-to-camera direction is the useful starting point. The appeal is simple: keep working with a lens you know while using a Canon EOS R camera. It’s a specific adapter for a specific pairing, not a general-purpose accessory.

When choosing an adapter, matching the lens side and camera side is the first practical check. Here, the product name gives you Minolta MD on the lens side and Canon EOS R on the camera side. That makes this a straightforward option to consider if those are the two systems you’re bringing together. The Mount T wording is also part of the product’s name; it helps distinguish this version when you’re looking through Metabones listings. I’d focus on that exact naming when comparing products, rather than assume that an adapter for a different mount will do the same job. If your aim is to use a Minolta MD lens with a Canon EOS R camera, this is the pairing indicated here.
