Nedis CAT 8.1 Network Cable RJ45 M RJ45 M 5.0m Round LSZH Grey Label

Nedis CAT 8.1 Network Cable RJ45 M RJ45 M 5.0m Round LSZH Grey Label | A direct wired network connection

Your network equipment can be connected with a direct cable run, without relying on a wireless link for that connection. This Nedis cable has an RJ45 male connector at each end, so it’s intended for equipment with matching RJ45 sockets. At 5 metres, it gives you a set reach between the two connection points; measure the route you plan to take rather than just the gap between devices. Its CAT 8.1 designation identifies the cable category, while the round profile and grey colour are practical details when you’re planning how it will sit in a room or workspace. The LSZH wording is part of the cable’s stated specification. It’s a straightforward option for a wired network setup where the connectors and length suit your layout.

Planning the cable run

Before you connect everything, trace the route from one device to the other. Include any turns around furniture or along the edge of a room, and leave enough slack for the cable to reach without pulling at either connector. A simple measurement can save the nuisance of discovering that the planned path is longer than the available reach. Think, too, about where the cable will sit: a visible run across a desk or room may affect how you arrange your equipment. If the route works for your space and both devices have the matching socket, this gives you a direct physical connection between them. Keep the path clear of places where people are likely to snag it.
