Nedis CAT6-CABLE RJ45 Male RJ45 Male U/UTP 0.50m Round PVC Black Label

Nedis CAT6-CABLE RJ45 Male RJ45 Male U/UTP 0.50m Round PVC Black Label | A short link for nearby network connections

Long cable runs can leave extra wire to manage; this Nedis CAT6 cable is just 0.50 m long. It’s suited to a connection where the devices are close together and both ends take an RJ45 male connector. The cable is U/UTP, with a round PVC exterior in black. That makes it a straightforward option when you need a short cable and don’t want to coil away a longer one. Its length is the main thing to consider: measure the route between the connection points, allowing enough slack to plug in comfortably. At half a metre, it’s intended for a nearby connection rather than a run across a room. If that’s the distance you need, this cable keeps the choice simple. You can also use its black finish to keep the cable visually low-key alongside other equipment.

Choosing the right length

Before choosing a cable, look at the space between the two RJ45 sockets and the path the cable will take. A direct route between nearby sockets may need less length than a route that follows the edge of a desk or passes around equipment. This cable’s 0.50 m length makes it a compact option for a short connection; it won’t give you much spare cable to reposition devices, so allow for that when planning the setup. Both ends have male RJ45 connectors, so the connection points need to accept those plugs. The title identifies it as CAT6 and U/UTP, which helps distinguish this cable from other cable types when you’re matching it to an existing setup. Keep the run relaxed rather than pulling it taut. For a nearby pair of devices, the short length can help avoid having excess cable gathered on the desk or behind the equipment.
