Nedis CAT6 Network Cable | RJ45 Male | U/UTP | 20.0 M | Round | PVC

Nedis CAT6 Network Cable | A direct wired connection across the room

Your network devices can be linked by cable, without relying on a wireless connection for that part of the setup. This Nedis CAT6 network cable is suited to a home or work space where you need a longer wired route: it measures 20 metres, has male RJ45 connectors and uses U/UTP construction. The cable is round and has a PVC outer jacket. That makes it a straightforward option for connecting equipment with an RJ45 network socket when the devices aren’t close together. It’s especially useful when you want to route a cable along a room or between spaces and need more reach than a short patch cable provides. The simple point to keep in mind is the route itself: plan where the cable will run before you connect it, so the length works for your layout.

Plan the route before connecting

A 20-metre cable gives you room to take a considered path rather than placing connected equipment right beside each other. Measure the route you have in mind, including the distance around furniture or along a wall, and leave enough slack at either end to reach the network sockets comfortably. For a tidy setup, decide where the cable should pass before laying it out. A clear route can also help keep it out of the way of regular foot traffic. Since it’s a physical network connection, this cable is for setups where you can run a cable between the devices; it won’t replace a wireless connection for devices that have no network socket. Its grey colour is a low-key fit for many cable runs, though how visible it is will depend on the room and the surface it follows.
