Nedis CAT6 S/FTP-Cable RJ45 (8P8C) M-RJ45 (8P8C) M 1m Grey

Nedis CAT6 S/FTP-Cable RJ45 (8P8C) M-RJ45 (8P8C) M 1m Grey | A short, direct network link

When network equipment sits close together, a long cable can leave an awkward coil on the floor or desk. This one-metre Nedis cable gives you a short connection between two devices with matching RJ45 sockets. It has an RJ45 (8P8C) male plug at each end, so there’s no different connector type to account for at either end. The CAT6 S/FTP designation identifies the cable type; this description doesn’t assume a particular speed or performance beyond that. It’s a straightforward option for a nearby connection where a longer run would get in the way. The grey finish is easy to distinguish from cables in other colours, if you use colour to keep your setup organised. One honest point: at one metre, it’s intended for a short route, not for reaching across a room.

Planning a short cable run

Before choosing this length, measure the route between the two connection points. Include any detour around the edge of a desk or behind equipment, rather than measuring only the gap between the devices. Leave a little slack so the cable isn’t pulled tight when you move or reposition something. If the route is longer than the cable can comfortably reach, a longer cable will be a better fit.

Also make sure both connection points take an RJ45 8P8C male plug. That simple check helps avoid buying a cable with the wrong connector for your setup. When the route is short and the sockets match, this Nedis cable keeps the connection direct without leaving spare length to manage.
