Nedis CAT7-CABLE S/FTP RJ45 RJ45 1.0 M Round LSZH Grey

Nedis CAT7-CABLE S/FTP RJ45 RJ45 1.0 M Round LSZH Grey | A short link for nearby RJ45 ports

Without a short lead, a connection between nearby network sockets can leave you managing extra cable. This Nedis CAT7 cable gives you a one-metre link with an RJ45 connector at each end, for connecting two nearby RJ45 ports. Its CAT7 and S/FTP designations identify the cable type and shielding format; the title also specifies a round cable with LSZH construction, in grey. It suits a setup where the connection points are close and you want a compact cable run rather than a long spare length gathered behind a desk or cabinet. The honest limitation is the length: one metre is practical for nearby ports, but it won’t reach across a room. If the route between your connection points is short, this cable keeps the choice simple.

Planning the route

When choosing a cable for a fixed setup, consider the route it needs to follow, not just the distance between the two ports. A cable may need to run around the edge of a desk or past a cabinet, and those turns use up some of the available length. It helps to trace that path and leave a little room at each end so the plugs can meet their sockets without pulling the cable taut. For a temporary connection, think about where the cable will lie while it’s in use and whether people need to walk past it. That small bit of planning can make a short connection easier to place and less awkward day to day.
