Nedis Power Cable Italy M IEC-320-C5 Straight Straight Nickel Flated 2 M Round

Nedis Power Cable Italy M IEC-320-C5 Straight Straight Nickel-Plated 2 m Round | A simple 2 m power connection

A mismatched power lead can leave a device sitting just where the outlet happens to be. This Nedis cable gives you a 2 m connection between an Italy M plug and an IEC-320-C5 plug, with straight connectors at both ends. It’s for replacing a cable with those same connector types, or setting up a device that takes an IEC-320-C5 connection. The cable is round and black, so it has a simple, unobtrusive look in a home or office setup. Its nickel-plated finish is another specific detail of the connector ends. The main thing to get right is the plug type at each end; the cable’s length then helps determine whether it’ll reach comfortably along your intended route. Two metres is a practical middle ground when the outlet isn’t right beside the device, though you’ll still want to measure the path rather than guess.

Choosing the right cable

Before choosing a replacement, compare the connector shapes and types with the cable you’re replacing and the socket on the device. The names Italy M and IEC-320-C5 identify the two ends here; match each one to the connection it needs to reach. Also think about how the cable will run: a direct route across a desk is different from one that needs to follow the edge of furniture. Straight connectors keep the cable approach direct, so consider whether that orientation suits the space around your outlet and device. A little measuring can save an awkward stretch or excess cable. It’s a straightforward item, but the end connections matter more than the appearance.
