Nedis USB-Cable | USB 2.0 | USB-A M | USB Mini-B 5-PINS M | 480 Mbps | 5m Black

Nedis USB-Cable | 5m reach for USB-A to Mini-B links

What sets this Nedis cable apart is its 5-metre length, giving you more room to place a connected device away from a USB-A port. It connects a USB-A male plug to a 5-pin Mini-B male plug, so it suits a device with a matching Mini-B socket and a USB-A connection at the other end. The cable uses USB 2.0, with a stated data rate of 480 Mbps. That makes it a straightforward option when you need this particular connector combination and don’t want a short lead dictating where your equipment sits. One small point worth bearing in mind: the “USB-Cable” in the product name refers to the cable category; its listed connectors are USB-A and Mini-B, not USB-C. It’s black, and the extra length is the practical reason to choose it over a shorter cable.

Made for a little more distance

Five metres can help when a device’s position is set by a shelf, desk layout or other fixed arrangement, while the USB-A connection is elsewhere. You can route the cable with more flexibility than a short lead allows, though the right amount of slack depends on your setup. The useful question is simply whether the two ends match the ports you need to connect. Mini-B is a specific connector shape, and this cable has the five-pin version. If that’s the connection your device uses, the other end gives you a standard USB-A male plug. The listed 480 Mbps rate is the speed figure to keep in mind for this USB 2.0 cable. It’s a simple cable, with its appeal in the connector pairing and reach rather than extra features.
