Nedis USB-Cable USB 2.0 USB-A Male USB-B Male 10 W 480 Mbps Nickel Plated 1.0m

Nedis USB 2.0 USB-A to USB-B Cable 1.0m | A short, direct USB connection

At 1.0 m, this Nedis USB cable is made for a short, direct connection rather than a long cable run. One end has a USB-A male plug and the other a USB-B male plug, so it connects equipment with a USB-B socket to a USB-A socket. That makes it a straightforward option when those are the two connections you need. The cable uses USB 2.0, with a stated transfer speed of 480 Mbps, and is rated at 10 W. Nickel-plated connectors finish the two ends. It’s a simple cable with a clearly defined job: joining USB-A and USB-B ports over a modest distance. The main thing to get right is the port type at each end; the plugs aren’t interchangeable.

A cable for a specific connection

USB-A to USB-B is a useful pairing when the two pieces of equipment have different USB port shapes. This cable gives you one of each plug, with the male USB-A end on one side and the male USB-B end on the other. It’s best suited to a setup where those matching sockets are close enough for a one-metre cable. That length can help keep a nearby connection from needing extra slack or a longer run.

The USB 2.0 designation and 480 Mbps figure give a clear guide to its data-transfer rating. The stated 10 W rating is another concrete limit to keep in mind when choosing a cable for a particular connection. There’s no guesswork about connector type here: it’s USB-A to USB-B, not a cable with matching plugs at both ends. For a straightforward connection between those two port types, the specification is refreshingly clear.
