Nedis Wireless Car Charger QI Certified 1 M FOD USB-C

Nedis Wireless Car Charger Qi Certified 1 m FOD USB-C | Qi charging for your drive

Your phone can charge wirelessly during the drive, without a charging lead plugged into it. The Nedis Wireless Car Charger is Qi certified, making it a fit for drivers with a Qi-compatible phone who want to charge in the car. Its name also specifies a 1 m USB-C cable and FOD, short for foreign object detection. Those details give you a clearer idea of the setup before you choose it. This is a focused option if in-car Qi charging is what you’re after. The phone charges wirelessly, but the charger still uses a USB-C cable, so the setup isn’t entirely cable-free. One practical point: the 1 m length is worth considering when you’re deciding where the charger will sit in relation to its power connection.

In daily use

Start with the Qi certification when deciding if this charger suits your needs: the device you plan to charge needs to support Qi wireless charging. FOD is another detail in the product name; it refers to foreign object detection. That gives you a clear feature to look for if FOD matters in your choice of car charger.

The listed cable length also helps you think through placement in the car. A metre gives you a defined reach to work with, while USB-C identifies the connection used in the setup. The charging link to the phone is wireless; the charger itself still needs its cable connection. It’s a straightforward distinction, but one that can matter if you’re trying to keep cables around the phone to a minimum. Renz’s honest take: the title gives you the key details to judge the charging format and cable reach, without dressing them up as more than they are.
