Nikon LC-1424 Lens Cap For AF-S 14-24
Nikon LC-1424 Lens Cap For AF-S 14-24 | Keep the front covered between uses
Keep the front of your Nikon AF-S 14-24 covered between outings, so it isn’t left exposed when the lens is packed away or set aside. The Nikon LC-1424 is a replacement lens cap named for that lens, giving owners a straightforward way to restore a basic piece of day-to-day protection if the original has gone missing or needs replacing. It suits photographers who use the AF-S 14-24 and want the front covered during storage and pauses in a shoot, rather than leaving it open to incidental contact. This is a simple accessory, not something that changes how the lens renders a scene; its value is in keeping the lens covered when you’re not making pictures. Match the cap name to the lens designation and it’s easy to identify the part you need. Keep it on when the lens is off the camera or waiting between setups, and remove it when you’re ready to shoot.
Specialist Note
First-time owners sometimes leave a cap off once the lens is mounted, then have to think about the exposed front whenever the camera is set down. The LC-1424 gives the AF-S 14-24 a cover again between frames. I’d use it whenever the lens goes into a bag or waits between setups, so the front is covered rather than open to accidental touches. AF-S 14-24 is the key lens designation to match, while LC-1424 is the specific cap name to look for if you’re replacing one. It’s a straightforward cover, not cushioning for an impact, so handle the lens carefully.
