Novoflex Adapter Leica R Lens To Micro Four Thirds Camera
Novoflex Adapter Leica R Lens To Micro Four Thirds Camera | Mount Leica R lenses on Micro Four Thirds
A Leica R lens can’t mount directly on a Micro Four Thirds camera without an adapter. This Novoflex adapter provides the connection between the two, giving photographers with Leica R lenses a way to use them on a Micro Four Thirds camera. It’s for anyone who wants to bring a particular Leica R lens into their camera setup, rather than leave it unused because the mounts differ. The adapter doesn’t replace the lens: the Leica R lens remains the glass you’re using, and the adapter is the link to the camera body. That makes it most useful when you already have a lens in mind for a portrait, a still life or another subject where your choice of lens matters. It’s a straightforward, mount-specific accessory: Leica R on the lens side, Micro Four Thirds on the camera side. The finish is black.
Specialist Note
For a one-lens setup built around a Leica R lens, I’d use this adapter to connect that lens to a Micro Four Thirds camera. The Leica R mount tells you which lenses belong on the lens side; the Micro Four Thirds designation identifies the camera system it connects to. That distinction matters at the counter: this is for that particular lens-and-camera pairing, not a general-purpose converter. For a portrait or a tabletop still life, choose the Leica R lens you want to use for the subject, then fit it to the camera through the adapter. The honest limit is that the adapter doesn’t choose the lens for you; your result depends on the Leica R lens you attach.
