OBSBOT NDI License Key
OBSBOT NDI License Key - NDI|HX3 for Tail Air
Bring a Tail Air PTZ camera into a networked live production for church services, conferences or other events. The OBSBOT NDI License Key adds NDI|HX3 support, including resolutions up to 4K, to the Tail Air. It’s a downloadable software license for camera owners who want to include their Tail Air in an NDI-compatible setup. Video and camera control signals travel over Ethernet, giving a production team a network-based way to work with the camera feed. For a church stream, that means the Tail Air can be part of an NDI production workflow; for a conference, its video and control signals can use the same Ethernet connection; and at another live event, NDI|HX3 supports high-resolution video with a stated latency of around 100 ms. The license also supports NDI|HX2, so both protocol versions are covered. The result is a way to add NDI functionality to the Tail Air without purchasing a separate camera.
NDI network capabilities
- NDI|HX3 support: The license adds the HX3 protocol to the Tail Air PTZ camera. That brings the camera into an NDI-based production workflow.
- NDI|HX2 support: HX2 is supported as well as HX3, so the license covers both NDI protocol versions named for this camera.
- Up to 4K resolution: HX3 supports resolutions up to 4K. This is useful when a live production calls for a high-resolution camera feed.
- About 100 ms latency: The stated low latency is around 100 ms. It’s a relevant figure for live coverage, where the camera feed is part of a real-time production.
- Video and control over Ethernet: The license supports sending both video and camera control signals via Ethernet. That puts the camera feed and control into the network workflow.
Specialist Note
The workflow problem this key solves is having a Tail Air PTZ camera that can’t yet join your NDI production. I’d point it out to anyone setting up a church stream or conference feed: the license adds NDI|HX3 and HX2 support specifically for the Tail Air, rather than being a general software key for other cameras. Ethernet carries video and control signals, so the camera can take part in a networked production; HX3’s stated latency of around 100 ms is useful for live work. It’s a download, with an activation code and link supplied by customer service after purchase. One point to note: download products can’t be returned.
