Paterson PAT116 Multi Reel 3 Tank(Exc.spir)

Paterson PAT116 Multi Reel 3 Tank (Exc. spirals) | A multi-reel tank for darkroom work

For a film-darkroom setup, the Paterson PAT116 gives you a tank identified for three reels, keeping the processing vessel at the centre of your setup. Its name also makes one important detail clear: the spirals are excluded. That distinction matters when you’re planning what you need for your darkroom, because the tank and the spirals are separate parts of the purchase. The title doesn’t identify a film format or say which spirals to use, so I wouldn’t assume those details from the model name alone. What it does give you is a specific Paterson model, a multi-reel designation and a three-tank description. If those are the terms you’re working from while organising your film equipment, this listing is easy to identify. It’s a straightforward darkroom accessory, rather than a broad kit description with extra contents implied.

One honest point: “Exc.spir” is easy to overlook in a compact product title. Here it’s worth reading as part of the product name, not as a minor footnote. The title describes the PAT116 as a multi-reel, three-tank product and explicitly excludes spirals; it doesn’t give more detail about capacity or compatibility. That makes the listing most relevant to someone who already knows what they need from this named tank and has considered the separate spiral requirement. In a specialist shop, those small distinctions are useful: they help keep a darkroom purchase focused on the item actually named, rather than suggesting a complete set where none is specified. If you’re searching for the Paterson PAT116 in particular, the model number is included here to make the product easier to pick out.
