Peppercable CAY-Mx5 - XLR M - XLR F 10m

Peppercable CAY-Mx5 - XLR M - XLR F 10m | Give your XLR connection 10 metres of reach

When the connection point is further away, a short lead can leave you rearranging the setup or placing things closer together than you’d like. The Peppercable CAY-Mx5 is a 10-metre cable with an XLR male connector at one end and an XLR female connector at the other. It suits a setup where those are the connector types you need and you want more room to position the connected equipment. That extra length is most useful when a direct, short connection won’t reach along your planned route. Before choosing it, consider where the cable needs to run and which connector is needed at each end; the male and female ends aren’t interchangeable. It’s a straightforward cable, with the useful detail right in its name: XLR M to XLR F, over 10 metres.

Think through the route rather than measuring only the gap between two pieces of equipment. A cable may need to travel around a stand, along an edge or down to floor level, so allow for the path you intend to use. The 10-metre length gives you more room to lay out that route than a short connection would, though the actual reach depends on how you run it. Check the connection points at both ends of your setup: this cable has one male and one female XLR connector, so its two ends serve different roles. If that matches the connection you need, the CAY-Mx5 keeps the choice simple. There’s no need to infer a special feature from the model name; the practical deciding points are the XLR connector genders and the stated length.
