Permajet Parchment Classic 285 Roll 17INCHES 12m

Permajet Parchment Classic 285 Roll 17 Inches 12m | A long roll for photo printing

Instead of working from individual sheets, this Permajet photo paper comes as a roll, giving you a longer length of media to plan your prints around. It’s the Parchment Classic 285, in a 17-inch width and 12-metre length. The name is specific, but it doesn’t tell the whole story of how a print will look, so I’d choose it for the format and paper identity rather than assume a particular finish from “Parchment” alone. This roll suits photographers and printmakers who want photo paper in roll form and have a project that makes sense at this width. It may be handy when you’re organising a run of prints, or when you’d rather work from a roll than manage separate sheets. The honest point is that the title gives no surface description; if that detail matters to your image, don’t guess from the name.

Thinking in roll format

A roll changes how you plan a print job: instead of picking from a stack of pre-cut sheets, you’re working with a continuous length of paper. That can be a useful way to approach a batch of prints or a job where you want to decide the print length as you go. The 17-inch width is the dimension to consider first when judging whether this format suits the work you have in mind; the 12-metre length helps you estimate how much paper the roll provides. Those numbers describe the format, not the look of the finished image. If you’re choosing paper for a particular visual effect, treat the Parchment Classic name as the product identifier, not as a substitute for seeing a sample.
