Permajet Smooth Rag 310GSM 44INCHES 15m

Permajet Smooth Rag 310GSM 44INCHES 15m | Wide-roll photo paper for planned print runs

For making photographic prints from a wide roll, the Permajet Smooth Rag 310GSM 44INCHES 15m gives you a substantial length of paper to plan a print run around. It’s photo paper identified as Smooth Rag, with a stated weight of 310gsm, a 44-inch width and a 15m roll length. That makes it relevant when you’re choosing paper by its roll format and weight, rather than looking for sheets in a particular size. I’d begin by comparing those dimensions with the prints you intend to make and the way you organise your work. The product name gives a useful starting point, but it doesn’t tell the whole story of how a print will look; your image, printing setup and chosen print dimensions matter too. If you already have a specific output size in mind, measuring and planning first is the sensible step.

Planning your print run

A roll gives you room to plan several jobs from one continuous length, rather than selecting a separate pack for every print size. Before committing to a run, lay out the images you want to print and work out how they fit within the stated roll dimensions. Leave room in your plan for the practical parts of printing, such as setup and trimming, rather than treating the full length as finished image area. That’s a small calculation, but it can help you judge how much of the roll a set of prints is likely to use.

The 310gsm figure is another straightforward point to compare when narrowing down paper options. If paper weight is part of your decision, you can assess this roll against the weight you’re looking for without guessing at a specification. Smooth Rag is the named paper in this product; the name alone isn’t a substitute for seeing a print, so I’d choose it on the basis of the stated details and your own intended output. For a photographer who has already decided to work with a 44-inch roll, the width and total length make this a clear, specific option to consider.
