PGYTECH Variabel ND-Filter (6-9 Stops) For DJI Mavic Air 2S
PGYTECH Variable ND Filter (6–9 Stops) for DJI Mavic Air 2S | Control bright-daylight exposure
For bright-daylight aerial video, an ND filter reduces the light reaching the camera so you can use a slower shutter and keep motion from looking overly sharp. The PGYTECH Variable ND Filter (6–9 Stops) for DJI Mavic Air 2S gives you adjustable light reduction across a six-to-nine-stop range. It’s made for DJI Mavic Air 2S pilots who want more control over exposure in strong sun, especially when filming moving subjects or sweeping landscape views. Rather than choosing between several fixed strengths, you can adjust the filter’s density within its stated range as the light changes. That makes it most useful in consistently bright conditions, where the camera would otherwise need a very fast shutter. Keep in mind that this is a strong range of light reduction: in dimmer conditions, even the lowest setting may be more than you need.
Specialist Note
The variable density is the practical detail here: you can tune the light reduction instead of being locked to one strength. For a DJI Mavic Air 2S filming in direct sun, I’d start at the lower end and increase it only as needed to hold the shutter setting you want; use the upper end when the light is particularly intense. That gives you room to manage motion in footage of moving traffic or a steady overhead landscape pass. It suits pilots who mainly shoot in bright daylight and want exposure control without swapping between fixed strengths. One caveat: because the range starts at six stops, it can be too strong once the light softens.
