Rycote Tascam DR-05/Edirol R05 Audio Kit
Rycote Tascam DR-05/Edirol R05 Audio Kit | A focused match for two recorders
Rycote’s defining decision is to name the Tascam DR-05 and Edirol R05 directly. That makes the intended pairing clear: this is an audio kit for people using either of those recorders, rather than an accessory described only in broad terms. It suits owners putting together a microphone setup for interviews, spoken notes or other location recording. The practical appeal is that you can start with two named recorder models when deciding whether this kit belongs in your setup. It’s listed as a microphone accessory, so its place is alongside the recording equipment you use with your recorder. If your work is built around a DR-05 or R05, the product name gives you a specific starting point for choosing an accessory kit. It keeps the decision focused on the recorder you actually use.
Specialist Note
The intended pairing is easy to identify before you build your setup: the Tascam DR-05 and Edirol R05 are both named in the title. I’d use that as the first point of reference if you’re assembling a recording setup for an interview or spoken location notes. The Rycote name tells you which maker’s kit you’re considering, while “Audio Kit” places it in the microphone-accessory part of your gear. Its scope is specific, which is helpful if you use one of those two recorders; don’t assume the same fit for a different model.
