Sachtler SAC-8690 Carrying Strap ENG | A dedicated strap for ENG camera carrying

Without a dedicated carrying strap, an ENG camera is usually carried by hand or moved using whatever carrying setup is already in place. The Sachtler SAC-8690 Carrying Strap ENG is a purpose-specific accessory for operators who need to carry an ENG camera between positions. Its appeal is straightforward: it addresses the carrying task, rather than adding a camera feature or support function. That makes it relevant for news gathering, location work and other jobs where the camera needs to move as the day unfolds. It’s a focused option for crews who want a strap identified for ENG use, rather than a general accessory with a less specific role. Consider it when carrying the camera is part of your regular workflow and you want a dedicated strap for that job. The product name gives you a clear reference when selecting or sourcing this particular Sachtler accessory.

Specialist Note

This won’t add camera support or change how the camera records; it’s a carrying strap, and that narrow role is exactly why I’d consider it for an ENG workflow. The ENG designation points to camera carrying in news-gathering work, so it suits operators moving between a reporting position and the next setup. I’d use it as the dedicated carrying accessory for those transitions, rather than relying on an improvised hold. The SAC-8690 code is handy when you need to identify this exact Sachtler part again. It’s a focused purchase: choose it for the carrying role, not for extra support functions.
