Sirui 20mm T1.8 1.33X S35 AF Anamorphic Lens (X Mount Blue Flare) | Wide cinematic framing for Fuji X filmmaking

A small interview room can leave little space to include both a speaker and the setting around them. This Sirui lens gives Fuji X filmmakers an anamorphic option for shaping a wider, cinematic frame. It’s an interchangeable lens for APS-C cameras, with autofocus for situations where a subject may shift position. The 20mm focal length and estimated 71° angle of view suit interiors, establishing shots and moving scenes where you want context as well as a clear subject. Its 1.33x anamorphic design and blue-flare version are aimed at video makers who want those characteristics to contribute to the look of a film. It’s a specialist lens for interviews, narrative work and branded films where composition is part of the storytelling—not simply a general-purpose lens for every kind of shoot.

Specialist Note

When a scene feels too narrow for the story, the 1.33x anamorphic squeeze is the feature to look at: once the image is desqueezed, it gives you a wider cinema-style frame. For a two-person interview in a tight room, use that extra horizontal space to keep both people and some of the setting in view. T1.8 gives you a brighter aperture setting to work with when the available light is limited, which can be handy for interiors. Autofocus can help if a presenter shifts position, though I’d plan a focus transition rather than rely on AF for a precisely timed pull. This suits Fuji X filmmakers after a blue-flare anamorphic look; remember to account for desqueezing in your viewing or editing workflow.
