Sirui 75mm Anamorphic Lens (X Mount) | Shape a cinematic frame for video

Without an anamorphic lens, a video frame has no anamorphic character to work with in post. The Sirui 75mm Anamorphic Lens gives Fujifilm X filmmakers a dedicated way to bring that look into their footage. It’s an interchangeable lens for APS-C cameras, with a 21° angle of view, so its framing is best suited to considered shots rather than broad establishing views. The 75mm focal length works well when you want to isolate a person or a detail within a scene, making it a natural fit for filmmaking, interviews and carefully composed narrative video. It’s less suited to cramped interiors or situations where you need to reframe quickly without moving the camera. If you’re building a video setup around deliberate compositions and want anamorphic capture on a Fuji X body, this lens gives you a focused tool for that job.

Specialist Note

The tight view is a real limitation: this isn’t the lens I’d reach for when a room or a group needs to fit into the frame. Its 75mm focal length is the reason to choose it, though; on an APS-C Fuji X body, it helps keep attention on a face or a specific piece of action. For an interview, give your subject some room, frame a close portrait and keep the camera steady. For a narrative detail shot, move in until that detail fills the composition. I’d recommend it to filmmakers who plan their shots rather than expect one lens to cover every situation.
