SmallHD 17-1232 Lens Hood For Cine 5 And Indie 5
SmallHD 17-1232 Lens Hood For Cine 5 And Indie 5 | Shade your screen in bright surroundings
Without a hood, bright surroundings can make a monitor screen harder to view. The SmallHD 17-1232 Lens Hood is made for the Cine 5 and Indie 5, giving their screens a measure of shade when you’re working around daylight or strong set lighting. It’s a focused accessory for owners of either monitor who want to make the displayed image easier to judge without changing the monitor itself. That can be useful when you’re framing outdoors, or when a bright window or lamp is affecting your view on set. Its appeal is straightforward: it’s made for two specific SmallHD monitors, rather than being a general-purpose screen shade. If you use a Cine 5 or Indie 5 and often work in bright conditions, this is the dedicated hood to consider. It’s a practical aid to viewing, not a way to increase the display’s brightness.
Specialist Note
This hood won’t make the Cine 5 or Indie 5 brighter, so it can’t replace a brighter display when the screen itself is the issue. Its value is simpler: it gives those two SmallHD monitors a shade over the screen, which can help when daylight or nearby lighting gets in the way. I’d consider it if you regularly frame outdoors or work beside bright sources and want a clearer view of the picture you’re composing. The model number is 17-1232, and the specific fit for Cine 5 and Indie 5 is the point here; it’s for owners of those monitors, not a generic hood to adapt elsewhere.
