SmallRig 5249 HPS99 Handheld Power Stick Kit

SmallRig 5249 HPS99 Handheld Power Stick Kit | 99Wh power on the move

A long shooting day often means keeping a power source close, rather than leaving it in a bag between setups. The SmallRig 5249 HPS99 Handheld Power Stick Kit is a portable 99Wh power bank for mobile photo and video work, with a stick-shaped body and a shoulder strap for carrying it with your kit. Its combination of USB-C and D-Tap connections covers different power needs on location: use it to charge USB-C equipment between takes, or connect gear that draws power through D-Tap. The HPS99 is also useful when you’re moving between positions and want a power source within reach, rather than stopping to retrieve a separate battery pack. A quick-release connection attaches the stick to the strap, and the side attachment provides another way to carry it at the hip when it isn’t in use. For a rig that needs a secure mounting point, there’s a 1/4"-20 screw on top and a matching threaded hole underneath. This is a compact, hand-carry format with a substantial battery rating; at 757 g including the strap and cable, it’s worth factoring into the weight of a lightweight setup.

Key Features

• Two USB-C connections: USB-C 1 supports up to 100W input and output, while USB-C 2 supports up to 65W. That gives you two separate USB-C ports for powering or charging compatible equipment.
• D-Tap input and output: The D-Tap connection operates across 11.2–16.8V, with a maximum discharge current of 13A and charging current of 6.5A. It supports gear that uses a D-Tap power connection.
• QD strap connection: Attach the stick to the included shoulder strap using its quick-release connection. The strap can also be used with the side attachment for hip carry when the power stick is put aside.
• 1/4"-20 mounting points: A screw at the top and a threaded hole at the bottom provide two attachment points for compatible accessories. The mounting options are useful when the stick needs to sit alongside other rig components.
• Battery-status display: A built-in display shows the remaining battery level at a glance, so you can keep track of available charge during a shoot.
• Cylindrical hand grip: The rounded form is shaped for a secure hold while carrying the power stick. Its 232.1 × 82.3 × 43.9 mm body keeps the battery and its connections together in one handheld unit.
