SmallRig 5936 Foldable Landing Pad
SmallRig 5936 Foldable Landing Pad | A clear spot for drone take-offs and landings
The SmallRig 5936 Foldable Landing Pad gives drone pilots a dedicated surface for take-off and landing, in a design that folds away between uses. It suits anyone who wants a defined launch point rather than simply setting a drone down wherever there’s room. That can be especially helpful when you’re choosing a spot on the ground and want a clear visual reference for where the aircraft should come down. Its foldable format makes it easier to pack away than a rigid pad, so it’s a practical piece of kit to bring along when you’re heading out to fly. Keep in mind that a landing pad doesn’t make an unsuitable site safe: choose a clear, level area first, then place the pad where you can see it and the drone has room to land. SmallRig’s product name tells us its foldable design and purpose; beyond that, it’s best to judge it as a straightforward ground accessory.
Specialist Note
The SmallRig 5936 is for giving your drone a clear, repeatable place to take off and land. I’d consider it when you’re flying from a spot where you’d rather not use bare ground as your reference point. The foldable construction is the useful detail here: you can fold the pad away after flying instead of carrying a rigid landing surface. For a launch, place it flat in a clear area; for landing, keep that same spot visible as your reference. It suits pilots who want a simple ground marker for these moments. It’s still no substitute for checking the area itself is safe and level.
