Tilta MB-T16-C80 80mm Cinema Adapter Ring For Mirage
Tilta MB-T16-C80 80mm Cinema Adapter Ring For Mirage | Added support for handheld video
For handheld video work where the camera needs extra support, this ring is intended to help build a more supported setup. The Tilta MB-T16-C80 80mm Cinema Adapter Ring For Mirage is an 80mm cinema adapter ring for Mirage. It suits video makers putting together a rig for handheld filming, including interview work or documentary-style shots where the camera is operated by hand. Its purpose is specific: it provides an adapter-ring part for a Mirage setup, rather than being a general-purpose camera accessory. If you're assembling a shoulder rig, it belongs in a setup built around that use. The benefit is practical support while filming handheld; it doesn't replace the other parts of a rig or make handheld movement disappear. For a customer who already works with Mirage, this is a focused component to consider when adding support to a cinema-oriented setup.
Where it fits
This product makes the most sense when the job calls for handheld video and you want the camera supported as part of a rig. For a sit-down interview, that can mean building your handheld setup around the camera before recording, rather than treating the ring as a standalone support. For documentary-style filming, it can form part of a setup intended to stay with the operator as shots change. The intended role is clear, but the ring itself is only one component; plan the rest of the rig around the way you film.
Specialist Note
The 80mm ring is the detail to keep in mind: it gives this part a defined place in a cinema-rig setup, rather than making it a general support accessory. I’d look at it for handheld video when you’re building around Mirage, especially for interview framing or documentary coverage where you need extra camera support while operating by hand. The product name is specific about both the 80mm cinema adapter ring and its use for Mirage, so it’s best suited to someone whose setup already calls for that combination. It’s a focused component, not a complete shoulder rig by itself, so think of it as part of the support setup.
