Urth 55 67mm Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter
Urth 55 67mm Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter | Use larger filters on a smaller thread
A filter that fits one lens can be frustratingly unusable on another. This Urth step-up ring bridges that gap: it lets you attach a 67mm filter to a lens with a 55mm filter thread. It’s for photographers who already have filters in the larger size and want to use them on a lens with the smaller thread, rather than buying another set. That can be handy when you switch lenses for landscapes, long exposures or other work where a filter matters. Fit the ring to the lens, then attach the filter to the ring. The adapter changes the connection between lens and filter; it doesn’t change the filter’s effect or add a photographic feature of its own. Its value is simple and specific: get more use from filters you already own.
Specialist Note
There’s one clear limitation: this ring only bridges these two thread sizes, so it won’t solve a mismatch involving other sizes. Still, if your lens has a 55mm filter thread and your preferred filter is 67mm, it’s a straightforward way to use that filter on the lens. I’d consider it when you want to share a larger ND filter between lenses for long exposures, or use a larger polarising filter on a second lens for landscape work. Screw the ring onto the lens first, then attach the filter; that keeps the setup simple. It’s a practical little adapter when those exact sizes match your kit.
