Urth 55 72mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter

Urth 55 72mm Magnetic Step Up Ring Lens Filter Adapter | Adapt larger magnetic filters

The step-up size is the defining choice here: this ring takes a lens with a 55mm filter thread and provides a 72mm filter size, so you can use a larger filter on that lens. It’s made for photographers who already use 72mm filters and want to fit one to a lens with a smaller thread, rather than buying another filter in a different size. The magnetic design makes it part of a magnetic filter setup, giving you a way to attach compatible filters without relying on a conventional screw-on connection at the ring. Its clearest use is adapting your filter setup to that specific lens size. Keep in mind that this is a step-up ring, so it addresses that one direction of size difference; it won’t adapt a smaller filter to a larger lens thread.

Where it fits in your setup

This adapter is most useful when your lens and filter sizes don’t match but you want to keep using the same larger filters. It gives you a defined link between the lens thread and a compatible magnetic filter system, rather than changing the filter itself. Before building your setup around it, make sure the lens has the smaller thread size named in the product and that your filter belongs to a compatible magnetic system. The ring’s purpose is specific: adapt that lens for larger filters.
