Urth 72mm Magnetic UV Filter Pro | UV filtration in a magnetic format

Urth 72mm Magnetic UV Filter Pro is a 72mm UV filter in a magnetic format, for photographers choosing a filter by lens-front size and attachment style. It suits landscape, travel and everyday outdoor photography when you want a UV filter rather than an effect filter for changing exposure or reflections. The key buying detail is the 72mm size: match it to the filter-thread size on the lens you plan to use. That makes the choice about fit, not camera brand or sensor format. As a UV filter, its purpose is UV filtration; it isn’t an ND filter for longer exposures or a polariser for managing reflections. The Magnetic name identifies its attachment format, which may suit photographers building a magnetic filter routine. “Pro” is part of the product name, but the useful question is simpler: is UV filtration what you want from the filter on this lens?

Specialist Note

Photographers framing coastlines, mountain views or bright-day street scenes are the people I’d point toward this filter when UV filtration is the brief. The 72mm size gives you a clear fit criterion: check the filter-thread marking on your lens and use it where that size matches. Its magnetic format is the other detail I’d weigh; it’s intended for a magnetic filter setup, so it makes sense if that’s how you prefer to work with filters. I’d keep expectations to its stated UV-filter role. For a longer exposure or reflection control, you’ll want the corresponding filter type instead. This one is a focused option, not an all-purpose effect filter.
