Urth 77mm ND2 ND4 ND8 ND64 ND1000 Lens Filter Kit (Plus+)

Urth 77mm ND2 ND4 ND8 ND64 ND1000 Lens Filter Kit (Plus+) - five strengths from 1 to 10 stops

Bright daylight can make a long exposure hard to achieve, especially when you want moving water to soften or clouds to blur across the frame. The Urth 77mm ND2 ND4 ND8 ND64 ND1000 Lens Filter Kit (Plus+) gives you five fixed levels of light reduction, from 1 to 10 stops. That range covers subtle exposure adjustments as well as much stronger reductions for long-shutter effects. It’s also useful when you want to use a wider aperture in bright conditions and keep your chosen depth of field. The set is aimed at landscape photographers and anyone working with motion in a scene, from a river surface to passing clouds. Plus+ versions use SCHOTT B270 optical glass and a 20-layer nano-coating, with details focused on image clarity and easier cleaning. Each filter has a different density, so you can choose the strength that fits the light and the effect you’re after.

Glass, coating and frame

• Five ND strengths: ND2, ND4, ND8, ND64 and ND1000 reduce light by 1, 2, 3, 6 and 10 stops respectively. This gives you a choice from a modest adjustment to a substantial reduction for longer exposures.
• SCHOTT B270 optical glass: The filters use German-made B270 glass. The material provides the optical base for clear, detailed images.
• 20-layer nano-coating: The coating resists water, oil and scratches, and makes the glass easier to clean. That’s handy when filters pick up marks during regular outdoor use.
• Consistent light transmission: The coating is specified for high maximum transmission and a consistent transmission curve, supporting sharp images and faithful colour.
• Magnalium construction: Each filter has a durable magnalium frame, providing a sturdy surround for the glass.

Size and fit

These filters have a 77mm thread, so they fit lenses with a matching filter thread. Their slim frame is intended to prevent vignetting, including when used on wider views. Each filter has threads on both sides: you can stack filters, or attach a screw-in lens cap. Stacking lets you combine densities, though it also means more glass in front of the lens.
