Urth Lens Mount Adapter: Compatible w/ Canon FD Lens To Leica M Camera Body
Urth Lens Mount Adapter: Compatible w/ Canon FD Lens To Leica M Camera Body | Use a Canon FD lens on a Leica M body
Changing camera bodies can leave a favourite lens without a place in your setup. This Urth lens mount adapter is for one specific pairing: a Canon FD lens and a Leica M camera body. It gives photographers who own Canon FD lenses a way to use one with a Leica M body, rather than leaving that lens out of the kit. The appeal is straightforward: choose the Canon FD lens you want to use, place the adapter between lens and body, and build that combination into your setup. It suits photographers who already have both systems and want to bring them together, or who have a particular Canon FD lens in mind for use on a Leica M body. This is a dedicated mount adapter, not a general-purpose accessory for other lens and camera combinations. Its value is in that clear, specific job.
Specialist Note
Its scope is limited to one pairing, and that’s precisely why it makes sense when those are the mounts you own. You’re bringing a Canon FD lens to a Leica M body; the lens and body remain the key parts of the setup, while this adapter joins them. I’d consider it if there’s a particular FD lens you want to keep using—for example, choose the lens whose framing suits a portrait, then use this adapter to pair it with your Leica M body. It’s a focused purchase, so it makes most sense when you already know which lens you want to use. There’s no need to buy a broader accessory for a pairing you don’t need.
