Urth Lens Mount Adapter Contax/Yashica (C/Y) Lens To Sony E Camera Body | Use C/Y lenses on Sony E cameras

Use a Contax/Yashica lens to frame portraits, still lifes or everyday scenes on a Sony E camera body. The Urth Lens Mount Adapter Contax/Yashica (C/Y) Lens To Sony E Camera Body joins a C/Y lens to a Sony E body, making it an option for photographers who already own a lens in this mount and want to use it with their Sony E camera. It gives you the chance to work with a lens you already know and decide how its perspective suits a face, a tabletop arrangement or a wider scene. Keep expectations grounded: this is the connection between lens and camera, not a lens in its own right. The image you make still depends on the C/Y lens you use. If that’s the combination you’re after, this adapter offers a direct way to bring the two mounts together.

Specialist Note

This adapter’s clearest job is letting a Contax/Yashica (C/Y) lens join a Sony E camera body, rather than leaving that lens out of your setup. I’d consider it when you have a particular C/Y lens you want to keep using on your Sony E camera. For a portrait, build the composition around the person and the background; for still life, arrange the objects in the frame until their shapes read clearly. Those are good ways to make a familiar lens part of a considered setup. One honest point: this is a mount adapter, not a lens, so you’ll need a C/Y lens to use with it.
